With most of the world encouraged to stay inside, movie studios are pushing films straight to VOD and streaming. Even recent releases like Invisible Man, Emma, and Pixar's Onward are being rushed onto platform like Amazon, Vudu, an iTunes. Direct-to-video used to be reserved for films of lower budget (or quality) but in the age of streaming, more films are already skipping theaters to go straight online.
